Winter had been long
We needed sun on our bums
So we googled a flight
And headed off to Chania

Chania Harbour

The sun was shining
The harbour was blue
We ate breakfast outside
Admiring the view

Plakias Bay

So we hired a car
And set off for Plakias
Like all over the Crete
The views were spectacular

Vritomartis Bungalow

We travelled again
To stay in Vritomartis
The hotel was gorgeous
Its grounds were just marvellous

Vritomartis Flowers

The colours and scents
Brought joy to our noses
Staff pampered us both
From our heads to our toeses

Fishy Feet

We relaxed by the pool
We relaxed by the beach
And made little sculptures
All guests left one each

Stone Representation

The food was delicious
Fresh yogurt and honey
The bread and the cheese
Oh, my back has a tummy!

Beach Bum

Just remember yours shoes
On the pebbly beach
Now where’s Vritomartis
Oh yes, Crete, in Greece.
